Renee Jordan is a 1986 graduate of Aynor High School and a 1991 graduate of Horry Georgetown Technical College where she studied to become a Paralegal. Following stints with a couple of local attorneys, Renee worked for the Horry County Child Support Office in the enforcement division and then the legal department of the South Carolina Department of Social Services before coming to work at The Derrick Law Firm in 2005.
In the beginning of her employment with The Derrick Law Firm, it was just herself, Dirk and one other employee. Renee has worn every hat imaginable at The Derrick Law Firm, having initially been hired to be the office manager and prepare Wills. Later, she was needed more in the Paralegal department where she handled workers’ compensation, auto accidents, wrongful death and premises liability cases both before and after filing litigation.
Dirk’s longest employee, Renee is experienced in all phases of the law firm but now devotes herself specifically to managing the office and handling all things financial, to include overseeing client’s settlement funds and making sure the funds are paid out accurately and in a timely manner.
When not spending time with her children and grandchildren, Renee enjoys being near, or on the water, and traveling. Renee credits her mother, Nell, for her career in the legal field for all the love and support she gave her.
