Pearl Carey is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Charleston, South Carolina to start as a Marketing Assistant for Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers in 2023. Prior to her role at the firm, Pearl was a student at The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!). She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in three years with a major in Journalism and minors in criminology and philosophy. She is passionate about writing and digital marketing. The highlight of her time at OSU was completing a study abroad in London, UK, where she was able to experience different cultures across Europe firsthand.
During her time at Ohio State, Pearl held marketing positions in a variety of capacities. At the London Museum of Architecture, C3 Marketing, and the Ohio Department of Transportation, she honed her skills in social media management, Adobe creative suite, and AP style writing. At Derrick Law Firm, Pearl is excited to assist with focus group marketing, social media, and content creation.
In her free time, Pearl is enjoying getting acquainted with Charleston! She also enjoys reading, working out, crafting, and spending time with family.
