Cathy serves Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers as an Investigation and Coverage Paralegal. She came to Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers after working over thirty years for the SC Department of Social Services. Most of her time with DSS was spent working with children and families during some of the toughest times of their lives. Because of her compassion for others and ability to analyze tough situations, she now plays a role in gathering insurance information and investigating defendants for clients who have been injured by the negligence of another.
A native of Conway, South Carolina, Cathy is a 1980 graduate of Conway High School and a 1984 graduate of the University of South Carolina - Coastal with a Bachelor of Science degree. While at Coastal, Cathy was an inaugural member of the women's softball team.
Cathy is married with two children and enjoys playing tennis, golf, and boating on the river in her spare time. She is also an active member of First United Methodist Church in Conway where she serves on the Trustees Committee and is a regular participant in the Salkehatchie Summer Service Project.
