Katie Henderson was born and raised in central Maryland. Katie attended Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, MD where she played varsity softball. After high school, Katie attended Towson University where she earned her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice in 2016. She continued her education by earning her Paralegal Studies Certificate through the University of South Carolina in 2017.
Prior to working at Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers, Katie worked as a pre-litigation personal injury paralegal at a local law firm where she would handle around 80-90 cases at a time. She also worked at a small law firm in Ellicott City, Maryland where she was a guardianship paralegal. Her position with Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers is to process settlement awards.
In September 2019, Katie moved to South Carolina. As a child, she would visit the Myrtle Beach/Surfside Beach area on vacation with her family. It had always been a dream of hers to make the South her forever home. In 2020, she made that dream come true and became a first-time homeowner in Murrells Inlet. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family and friends, going to the beach/pool, and going out on her family’s boat.
