Steven Eston Price was born in Charleston, South Carolina and raised in the small town of Saint Stephen, which is nestled right in the middle of Berkeley County. Steven graduated from Timberland High School and later, Newberry College. While at Newberry, Steven was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order, and was also a student ambassador. Upon graduation, Steven moved back to Berkeley County and was a retail manager for a couple of years before enrolling in law school at the Charleston School of Law.
While in law school, Steven served on the honor counsel, served as a volunteer guardian ad litem, and also participated in a workshop that allowed him to work hands-on with vulnerable elders in the Charleston area. Upon graduation, Steven clerked at a personal injury firm focused on representing those suffering from catastrophic burn injuries, before making his way to another personal injury firm where he focused on representing those injured due to medical negligence. In 2021, Steven took a position with a large, regional insurance defense firm, where he represented four of the five largest automobile insurance companies in America. After learning the ins and outs of the insurance industry, Steven graciously accepted a position with the Derrick Law Firm Injury Lawyers Greenville office, where he has been putting his knowledge and experience with the insurance industry to work for his clients.
Outside of the office, Steven serves as the Vice President of his Homeowners Association’s Board of Directors. Steven is married to his wife Bret, an attorney in Newberry, South Carolina, and they just welcomed their first daughter Ella in November of 2023.
