Will Workers’ Compensation Cover my Injuries?

There is always some risk of being injured on the job even if the position is not inherently dangerous. Many jobs require routine tasks to be completed like lifting boxes or other heavy objects, typing all day, bending down to repair a machine, etc…While these types of tasks are routine and typical of certain jobs, there is a risk of becoming injured in some way and filing for workers’ comp may be needed to get an employee medical care.

Some Charleston employers may try to deny these types of workers’ compensation claims, saying that because the action that caused the injury was intentional, the injury was not an accident and should not be covered.
