The federal government has begun to look into 2002-2003 Jeep Liberty SUV's after seven complaints that the front air bags deployed without warning and for no reason. In some cases, owners said that the warning light was on or had been going on and off before the bag went off.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has also reported there have been 15 injuries from these unexpected deployments.
