Days before Christmas, three teenage girls were killed in a single car accident in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
None of the girls were licensed to drive at night or without a parent or guardian. South Carolina Highway Patrol said the accident happened on Bay Road near Blue Heron Blvd and Freewoods Road according to authorities.
The girls were riding in a 2006 pickup truck and the driver was wearing her seatbelt. Investigators say the driver ran off the road, hit a ditch then a tree which cause the cab to break away from the bed of the truck.
The driver and one passenger died at the scene after being trapped in the truck. The other passenger was ejected from the vehicle and also died at the scene.
