A Rock Hill teenager is dead following an auto accident involving a logging truck. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Kenneth B. Steel, Jr. was driving a 1993 Honda north on Highway 5 Wednesday afternoon when he attempted to pass another car. When Steel moved into the opposite lane, he collided head-on with a logging truck. Steel was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte where he later died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.
The highway patrol shut down Highway 5 for a few hours while they conducted their investigation.
