A Spartanburg teenager died following a single car accident on New Cut Road in Spartanburg County. The teenager, David Michael Boice, 17, was driving on New Cut Road around 2:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 2, when he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree. Boice was ejected from the car and then the car burst into flames. Boice was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is still investigating what caused the collision.
