A single-car accident in Darlington County on Friday afternoon killed the driver who was not wearing his seat belt. According to authorities, the accident happened around 1:00 P.M. on Cartersville Highway and East St. Paul Road just outside of Lamar. Authorities state that Larry Clavon, 48, died from injuries sustained in the accident after his 2006 Ford F150, which was traveling north on Cartersville Highway, ran off the right side of the road, the truck overcorrected, and ran off the left side of the road into a field.
