A single car accident in Florence on Tuesday killed the driver and only occupant of the vehicle. The SC Highway Patrol says that around 3:45 p.m. a GMC Envoy ran off the side of Railroad Aveune and struck a tree, killing the driver. The driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.

The highway patrol continues to investigate the accident to determine what caused the driver to leave the roadway.
