A proposed transportation bill that would fix South Carolina's aging roads and bridges will be discussed today by business leaders and U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn.
The news conference will be held to discuss a nationwide campaign to gain support for the federal transportation bill. Along with fixing roads and bridges, the bill would provide jobs.
The conference will be held at a Columbia plant that makes road construction materials. Attendees will also include Janet Kavinoky of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and U.S. Constructors Inc. President Randy Snow.
