In Upstate South Carolina, Master Police Officer Jason Gregory Harris was on his way to help other officers on a call when he hit a car that was turning left into a private driveway.
His motorcycle offered little protection and he severed a major vien and lacerated his liver. He was wearing a helmet during the crash but was thrown off his bike.
Motorcycle accidents can be devestating and this one ended tragically. While driving, we must be aware of others on the road, especially motorcycles.
Defensive driving is important for our own safety as well as others.
With more motorcycles on the road this spring and summer, limit your distractions and look out for motorcycles. Share the road and drive carefully.
