One Dead, One Injured As Car Strikes Home

   A North Carolina man is dead and another critically injured after their car skidded on a wet road, striking a house in Raleigh early Friday.

   The driver, Maximillian Bratton of Holly Springs, was killed in the crash. Passenger Ethan Herring of Raleigh is in critical condition at a Wake County Hospital, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

   The home sustained major damage, but no one inside was reportedly hurt.

   Officials said Bratton's BMW was traveling 65 mph in a 45 mph zone in heavy rain. The collision occurred about 12:30 a.m.
