According to reports, Godbee leaned over to tell the driver something and unintentionally grabbed the steering wheel which caused the car to go off the road. Godbee was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The accident remains under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol and the Berkeley County Coronor's Office.
