Multiple Grand Strand Motorcycle Accidents reported
Even though it appears that bikers are steering clear of Myrtle Beach's city limits due to the new motorcycle laws enacted in 2008, the Grand Strand area still saw multiple motorcycle crashes on Saturday.
Two accidents involving motorcycles both occurred on Resaturant Row within a block from each other.
On U.S. 17, near the intersection of Lake Arrowhead Road, a motorcycle rear-ended a car around 4 pm. The motorcycle is reported to have been travelling too fast for traffic conditions when it struck the vehicle.
Again at the same intersection an hour later, a car failed to yield right of way turning onto U.S. 17 and crashed into a motorcycle.
Earlier on Saturday, a motorcycle and a car collided in Surfside Beach at the intersection of Sixth Avenue South and U.S. 17 Business. One person was injured in the crash and was transported to the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Two accidents involving motorcycles also occurred on Friday.
