Man Electrocuted After Colliding with Utility Pole

A man was involved in a car accident early Tuesday morning died after he got out of his car and was electrocuted by a live power line from a utility pole. The accident happened at 3:15 am in the 400 block of Kyzer Road in Lexington county. The victim was identified as George Magoolaghan. He lost control of his Honda Odyssey and hit a utility pole. He exited the vehicle and then came into contact with a live downed power line. He was pronounced dead at the scene from his injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
