A 60-year-old man was killed early Saturday morning following a collision with a log truck. Ronnie Lee Poston, 60, of Hemingway was driving north on S.C. 41 when his pick-up truck crossed the center line.
A log truck was in the southbound lane of S.C. 41. The driver, Charles Richardson, 46, of Marion tried to swerve to avoid the crash, but could not do so. The log truck ran off the right side of the road following the collision.
Poston was declared dead at the scene from the injuries he suffered in the accident. Richardson was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries.
