Lexington Man Dies in Car Accident After Failing to Stop at Intersection

A Lexington man died in a car accident after he failed to stop at an intersection Thursday evening. 55-year-old Thomas Hartwig died after another vehicle struck the drivers side of his car at the intersection of Clarkson and Martin Luther King in Hopkins. There were 4 occupants in the other car including two children that were all taken to Palmetto Health Richland. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

The highway patrol is in charge of the investigation into this accident.
