Graco Manufacturer Recalls Child Safety Seats

Posted on May 24, 2017

After failing some of the National Highway Traffic Safety Adminstration's standardized testing for child safety car seats, Graco Children's Products of Atlanta company must recall close to 25,000 seats.

The car seats that fall under this recall are in the My Ride 65 convertible seat series, and the recall begins July 17, 2017. More specifically, models 1871689, 1908152, 1813074, 1872691, 1853478, 1877535, 1813015, and 1794334 are included.

Seats manufactured on 7/22/2014 and that have a webbing code 2014/06 on a tag on the harness webbing are the only seats affected.

The NHTSA said the the seat webbing tore in tests and that might compromise proper restraint of a child during a car crash.

Thankfully, no injuries have been associated with these car seats and owners may contact Graco at 1-800-345-4109 for more information.

Even when we take precautions and follow the proper seat belt and child safety seat rules, there will always be a reckless driver on the road. If you ever become seriously injured because of the negligence of another driver, you may need help getting the medical treatment you need and your medical bills paid.
