A golf cart was struck by an oncoming vehicle early Monday morning on Highway 90 in Horry County.
The accident occurred around 2 am when the golf cart crossed the center line and was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The driver of the golf cart had been using a flashlight as a headlight.
The driver was flown to New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment following the accident and his condition is unknown at this time.
South Carolina law prohibits golf carts from being driven on primary highways or at night. Golf carts are also required to stay within 2 miles of the owner's home.
