Former South Carolina State Basketball Player Critically Injured in Car Accident

Jason Johnson, a former S.C. State basketball player was critically injured in a car accident in Haifa, Israel on February 26, 2011.

Reports state that Johnson, 28, may have been speeding and lost control of the vehicle which then collided head-on with a police car. Johnson suffered serious head injuries and underwent 4 1/2 hours of life-saving surgery.

Johnson played for S.C. State for two seasons and averaged 12.7 points and 7.9 rebounds.
