Police responded to an accident Sunday afternoon near the Carolina Opry that killed two people. Authorities say that Ronnie Timberlake, 26, and Victoria Burton, 27 were both killed as a result of the accident. Timberlake died at the hospital from multiple traumas from the accident. He was not wearing a seat belt. Burton died at the scene from multiple traumas, however she was wearing her seat belt. Reports state that the car accident happened at the intersection of North Kings Highway and Wildwood Dunes Trail when a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville was going south on Kings highway and drove off the right side of the road. The car then crossed the center median into the northbound lanes barely missing another car. The car continued to cross lanes of traffic and went off the side of the road, became airborn, and then hit a utility pole. Police are still investigating the collision.
