After a 16-year-old girl from Florida died in a rope course accident, her family has filed a wrongful death claim against South Carolina company, Carolina Point Camp as well as the company who sold the swing she fell from.
While on the ropes course, Olivia Grimes was supposed to be attached to a large pendelum swing with two others when she fell 100 feet to the ground and died.
Her family claims Olivia's death was from negligence of both parties. They claim she was not properly secured in the swing and the company who created the swing, Adventure Experiences Inc, designed a defective and dangerous ride.
Mediation is set for next month.
