In December 2014, a Loris man, Craig Livingston, was traveling down Red Bluff Road after drinking and smoking marijuana with friends.

Livingston crossed the center line and hit an oncoming vehicle with two brothers, also from Loris, Christopher and Miles Waddell. Christopher died that evening after the accident and brother Miles passed away a week later on December 29, 2014.

This week, Livingston was sentenced to 20 years in jail for two counts of Felony DUI involving death.
