Two people were killed in a head-on collision in Berkeley county Friday morning, March 25, 2011.  The coroner's office said that 48-year-old Ralph Daniels, and 38-year-old David Rudd both died of body trauma from the accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol states that the two men were driving seperate pickup trucks when they collided around 6:30 A.M. on U.S. 176 near Cooper Store Road.  Both men were killed and neither was wearing a seat belt.

According to authorities, the first truck, a 2009 pickup truck was going east on U.S. 176, the other truck, a 2000 Chevy pickup truck, was going west when it crossed the center line and struck the first truck head on.

The collision is still being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
