The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that a car accident occurred in Darlington County late Sunday evening and killed one person. The accident happened on New Market Road just north of Hartsville when a 2005 Chevy Pickup was going north on New Market Road when the car ran off the right shoulder. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, overcorrected and caused the truck to overturn. The driver, identified as 26-year-old Robert Tyson Miller, was ejected from the vehicle and later died. He was recently hired by the Darlington County Detension Center. The SC Highway Patrol conducted an investigation into the accident.
