An 87-year-old man was killed in a collision involving a South Carolina police car on Sunday.

A police car was attempting to chase a dirt bike in Travelers Rest when the accident occurred. The officer has turned around to follow the dirt bike when Thomas Howard, 87, pulled out in front of the cruiser.

Howard was ejected from his vehicle and died at the scene. The accident is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
