The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a Myrtle Beach car accident near Loris Wednesday morning. The accident involved a state trooper that was sitting at a traffic light. The crash included three cars and occurred US 701 and Railroad Avenue. The trooper was stopped at a traffic light on US 701 waiting to make a left turn when a car hit it from behind. A third car then rear-ended the second car. The driver of the second car was taken to the hospital as well as the trooper. It is unknown if any charges will be filed in the accident.
