Last week, an accident in Awendaw, South Carolina killed a driver and one of three passengers in a Toyota Tundra pickup truck.
The truck made a quick lane change to avoid a slowing car and in the process sideswiped another vehicle. The truck went off the side of the roadway where it hit a tree and turned on its side.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the others were transported to the hospital with injuries. One of the passenger passed at the hospital from his injuries.
Charleston County officials evaluated the scene and do not believe speed or alcohol were a factor in the crash. An investigation was continued to determine the cause of death and to name the victims in the auto accident.
