Governor Nikki Haley has since agreed to sign a bill on all-terrain vehicle safety that is moving through the State House. She has stated that if the bill comes to her desk then she will sign it. The bill is known as Chandler's Law and says that drivers and riders under 16 must take a hands-on safety course and must also wear helmets and portective eyewear. Children under 6 would not be allowed to operate ATV's at all.
