Our auto accident client was mindfully paying attention to the traffic in front of her as she traveled southbound on US Highway 544 in Conway, South Carolina. Another car was also traveling southbound on US Highway 544, with one vehicle in between him and our client. As traffic slowed, our client and the vehicle behind her reduced their speed, however, the third vehicle failed to keep a proper lookout and reduce his speed. Due to the speed he was going, he collided with the rear of the middle vehicle which forced that car to collide with our client.
Following the wreck, our client was transported to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Our client experienced neck, back, chest, shoulder, and arm pain. Imaging revealed grade ll anterolisthesis of L5 vertebrae. Our client was diagnosed with cervical and lumbar radiculopathy and was advised to follow up with physician. After the emergency room visit, our client complained of weakness and numbness in her neck, upper back, and bilateral shoulders, as well as radiation of pain to the interscapular area and bilateral shoulders. Later, she underwent a MRI where it revealed a mild bulging disc. She underwent extensive physical therapy because of the injuries sustained in the car accident.
