Woman Drives Wrong Way on I-26, Dies

Deputies with the South Carolina Highway Patrol have stated that a woman died early Sunday morning after driving her car the wrong way on I-26 in Lexington County. She caused a three car accident around 1 AM Sunday morning. The driver, Jennifer Lock, 28, was driving a 2002 Saturn eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-26 when she collided head-on with a 2007 Toyota Corolla and a 2007 Ford Mustang.

Authorities say that Lock was trapped in her car and was pronounced dead at the scene from severe head and body trauma. The other two drivers were taken to Palmetto Health Richland. The accident is still under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol's MAIT team.
