Vehicle Drags Mom, Toddler 50 Feet

   A drunk driver in California injured two 2-year-old girls and three other adults Monday night, dragging one toddler and her mother 50 feet along a Santa Ana street. Nine people were struck in total.

   Miguel Sandoval, 43, was arrested Monday after taking his Chevy Suburban on a wild drunken ride, driving across lanes, jumping a curb and driving on a sidewalk before trapping the mother and daughter underneath his vehicle and dragging them about 50 feet, then hitting seven other people, according to Santa Ana Police.

   The 2-year-old is in critical but stable condition. Her mother sustained a broken leg.
