• Tractor-Trailer Accident Closes Robert Grissom Parkway Friday Morning

  An 18-wheeler overturned on Robert Grissom Parkway Friday morning and the northbound lanes were closed for almost 5 hours while crews worked to flip the tractor-trailer back over. The accident happened around 6:40 am and the driver of the truck was ok but did request medical attention. The 18-wheeler was leaking fluids after the crash but the leak was taken care of. The police are continuing to investigate the accident.

• 1 Person is Dead After Florence County Accident

  The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that one person was killed in a accident involving an 18-wheeler on I-95 Monday morning. The accident happened around 11:45 am near mile marker 157. Two vehicles and a tractor-trailer were traveling in the same direction when they collided with each other. It is unclear what caused the collision.

  At least one person was killed in the accident and the SC Highway Patrol's MAIT team is continuing to investigate.

• Man Killed In North Charleston Truck Accident

  A man was killed September 23rd in a North Charleston accident involving a tractor-trailer. According to police reports, the driver of the 18-wheeler was making a turn onto Rivers Street near Beaufort Street and did not see the oncoming car. The driver of the car, Bernard Frost, was unable to stop the car in time and slammed into the tractor-trailer. The car became pinned underneath the 18-wheeler.

  Frost was freed from the car by emergency workers and was taken to MUSC where he later died from his injuries.

  A tractor-trailer accident in Orangeburg County Thursday morning tied up traffic for hours. The tractor-trailer overturned at mile marker 155 on I-26 right before 7:30 am. The cause of the accident is still unknown.

  The eastbound lanes of I-26 in North Charleston were closed for almost 9 hours due to an accident involving two tractor-trailer trucks. The crash caused the wood chips being carried by both trucks to catch fire. Both drivers were taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. They were both wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.

• I-77 Closed for Hours After Tractor-Trailer Accident

  I-77 in Columbia was closed for several hours Wednesday morning after a tractor-trailer carrying glass overturned near Bluff Road. The driver, Harold Thomas Bradley was driving north on I-77 when he lost control of the semi-truck and it overturned. He was not treated for any injuries.

  The accident is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.

• Accident Involving 18 Wheeler Causes 1 Death

  An accident between an 18-wheeler and a car killed one person in Richland County on Tuesday. According to reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident happened just after 7 pm at the intersection of Highway 601 and Reynolds Road which is about 3 miles east of Eastover. The driver of the car, a 2011 Chevy four door, died at the scene. The car was traveling north on Hwy. 601 and the tractor trailer was driving south when they collided.

  The crash is still under investigation by the Highway Patrol.

  A log truck overturned Friday morning on Main Street in Conway and caused major delays. The truck overturned on its side spilling logs in front of the post office. No injuries were reported and the logs were able to be cleared shortly after the accident.

  Highway 378 in Marion County was closed shortly Tuesday after a tractor-trailer truck accident involving another car. The tractor-trailer crossed the center line and hit another vehicle head-on. The truck then caught fire. One person was airlifted to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center and another was taken to Marion Medical Center.

  Officals say that the driver of the tractor-trailer will be charged with driving left of center.

• Truck Driver Killed in Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-95

  The driver of a United Van Lines tractor-trailer truck died June 11th after the truck he was driving ran off of I-95 near Ridgeland and caught fire. The driver was believed to be heading to Florida. The truck was heading south on I-95 near mile marker 27 when it ran off the left side of the interstate, into the median, struck several trees, and then caught fire. The driver was not identified because he was badly burned in the accident.

  The Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
