Three Die When Truck Hits House

   Three people are dead after a gravel truck crashed into their home today in Santa Barbara, California.

   A man, woman and child were killed and a second child is perhaps missing, according to Santa Barbara Fire Captain Gary Pitney. He said the truck was carrying a double load of gravel, which buried parts of the home.

   A search and rescue team is searching the wreckage for the second child, authorities said.

   It appears that the brakes on the truck failed, according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver was treated for cuts to his face.

   The names and ages of the victims are not yet available.
