Suspect Found In Hit-And-Run

   North Myrtle Beach Police now have a suspect in the third fatal hit-and-run incident in the Grand Strand in the last month. Police spokeswoman Nicole Aiello says police now have a suspect, but would not give more information as the investigation is still pending.

   Corissa L. Irvin, 21, of New Hampshire died at the scene along U. S. 17 Bypass near Cracker Barrel between Ocean Creek Dr. and 48th Avenue South about 1:30 a.m. August 17.

   Police are asking the public to be on the alert for either a 1995-2005 GMC Safari or Chevy Astro with damage near the front right headlight and possible windshield damage. Anyone who sees such a vehicle should call area police at either 280-5511 or 661-4705.

   Authorities believe Irvin was walking home from her job at Barefoot Landing at the time of her death.
