Surfside Beach Accident Causes 6 People to be Taken to the Hospital

Six people were sent to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a three car accident on Highway 17 Bypass and Glenns Bay Road in Surfside Beach. S.C. Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said the accident happened after a car ran a red light and hit another vehicle as it was turning onto Glenns Bay Road around 1 P.M. That car then hit another vehicle. The victims had unknown injuries and were taken to the hospital.

The police are investigating the accident.
