Suit says restaurant liable for injury to worker

An employee at an Illinois Medieval Times Restaurant has filed a lawsuit against the owners, claiming that they are liable for injuries he sustained during a dinner show.

Actor Frank Kaszycki claims in his lawsuit that he was flung from his horse during a show when the horse reared up and threw him on his back. The horse then landed on top of Kaszycki, causing him injury.

Kaszycki, 28, was hired to play a king during the Medieval Times dinner show whose job it was to ride around and speak throughout the course of dinner. He was hired with the knowledge that he had no prior experience riding horses. He was being trained by a fellow castmember who had been absent the day of Kaszycki's accident.

Kaszycki is suing Medieval Knights, LLC and Medieval Times, Inc. for negligence and failure to control the horse. The suit seeks over $50,000 in damages.
