Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By 2 Cars

According to authorities, a 22-year-old man died Thursday June 23, 2011 in Lexington County after being struck by two seperate cars while walking down Highway 1. The accident occured just after 9:30 p.m. on Highway 1 near Wattling Road, and police state that Trinity Kelly Carter was in the lane of traffic and was hit by John Bonnette. Sadly, a second car struck Carter and then fled the scene.

Carter died as a result of the accident and an autopsy will determine the cause of death. Police are still looking for the second car that struck Carter and there is still no word on whether charges will be filed.
