Parents Still Fighting for Traffic Light After Another Accident at Cane Bay High School

Parents are continuing to advocate for a traffic light in front of Cane Bay High School in Berkeley County after another accident occured Sunday night. According to reports 4 boys were leaving basketball practice and pulling onto Highway 176 when the accident happened. They were all taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
Reports also state that the Berkeley County Transportation Committee agreed to fund the traffic light and sent the money to the SC DOT in October. However, the money sent is only able to cover a basic traffic light and the developer wants a light that is twice as expensive as the standard traffic light. The developer has agreed to cover the extra cost, but it is unclear if the payment has been sent.
Parents will continue to speak up until the light is installed.
