One Person Dead After Hit-and-Run Involving a Moped

Police in Lexington county are investigating a deadly hit-and-run accident on South Lake Drive early Monday morning. A man on a moped was hit by a car around 3:30 A.M. at the intersection of South Lake Drive and Industrial Drive. The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died from injuries sustained in the accident.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol's MAIT team is helping with the investigation into this deadly crash.
