One Killed in Myrtle Beach Car Accident

A Myrtle Beach car accident claimed the life of one driver Tuesday afternoon. According to reports a 1998 Jeep Cherokee was going south on Highway 17 Bypass when a 2000 Dodge Van pulled out of East Coast Honda and collided with the Jeep. Gelma Evens, the driver of the van was killed in the accident. The driver of the Jeep, Mark Taylor, was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts and no charges will be pressed since the driver of the van was at fault. The S. C. Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
