One Dead After Motorcycle Accident on Highway 501 in Myrtle Beach

One person has died after a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon on Highway 501 in Myrtle Beach. Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said the wreck happened around 3:40 p.m. when a motorcyclist driving a 1997 Honda motorcycle on the northbound ramp from Forestbrook Road to HWY 501 ran off the right shoulder of the road and hit the guardrail. The victim was not wearing a helmet and was pronouced dead at the scene.

The S.C. Highway Patrol is still investigating this accident.
