New Barricades for Memorial Weekend

Posted on Jan 28, 2015

The City of Myrtle Beach has decided to allocate funds for barricades that will be used during the Memorial Weekend BikeFest.

Because of the amount of motorcycle, car, and pedestrain traffic during BikeFest, the Myrtle Beach and Horry County officials have been working on a plan to direct traffic, reduce congestion and possible accidents, and keep riders and pedestrians safe.

The barricades will direct drivers around a 23 mile loop around the beach as well as keep pedestrians from stepping into the streets.
