A 43-year-old Myrtle Beach man was traveling at speeds of near 90 miles per hour when he crashed his vehicle into a tree and died Monday afternoon, according to a police report.
John Lafluer of Myrtle Beach died from trauma and was pronounced dead at 3:13 p.m. at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard.
Lafluer had been drinking, according to the police report.
