Myrtle Beach Man Killed in Crash

On Friday, March 11, a 24-year-old man was killed in a single vehicle crash in the early morning hours in Myrtle Beach. Antonio Christopher James, of Myrtle Beach, was driving the vehicle, and died at the scene of the crash, according to Horry County Coroner Robert Edge. He said that James suffered multiple traumas in the accident.

The incident occured around 1:30 A.M. on Woodside Avenue, said Captain David Knipes of the Myrtle Beach Police Department. He also stated that the vehicle was travelling northbound at a high rate of speed when the incident occured. Capt. Knipes said that James was not wearing his seatbelt.

An autopsy was planned for later in the day Friday, and an investigation in the accident is still ongoing.
