Back in January of 2014, a man and woman were driving near Socastee and wrecked. No other cars were involved but the passenger suffered severe brain damage and died in the hospital 5 days later.

The driver was arrested and charged with Felony DUI and Reckless Homicide.

The case went before a judge this week, and the driver plead guilty to both. The judge sentenced him to 15 total years in prison-7 years for the DUI and 8 years for the homicide.
