Murrells Inlet man killed in crash with 2 tractor-trailers

A Murrells Inlet man died early this morning following a traffic accident involving a tanker and a tractor-trailer truck.

Glenn Bragg, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been driving a sports utility vehicle when the wreck occurred. The accident took place at approximately 2:15 am in the northbound lanes of US 17 Bypass near the Inlet Square Mall and Tournament Boulevard.

The northbound lanes of US 17 Bypass remained closed Friday morning as accident crews cleaned up the scene. The accident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol. More information is expected to be released as it becomes available.
